Walking Around Paris

Paris has been continuously inhabited for over 2000 years.  There is so much history here.  It is a fascinating city to walk around and enjoy the beauty.

Great Buildings

Hotel DeVille

The Hotel De Ville is the building housing the city's local administration. It has been the headquarters of the municipality of Paris since 1357. It serves multiple functions, housing the local administration,  the mayor of Paris, and also serves as a venue for large receptions.

River Seine
Memorial for those deported to during the French Occupation by the Nazis.  This Memorial is very well done and remembers the lives of the 200,000 people who were shipped off and sent to the concentration camps to never return.  We were asked not to put any pictures of the inside up on any public domain out of respect for the dead, therefore, I show you only the front.  If ever here, I would highly recommend taking a moment to remember these and other victims, and visit this memorial.

Puppies!!
This guy occupied this place outside our apartment.  His puppies were just too cute!

Our Apartment Building

We did get to see the lights of Paris on one evening.  It was quite beautiful!

Funny picture of us!!

This is the building from which we took the above shots.

We had a fantastic time in Paris, despite our initial shock.  Now we are off
to the countryside!  Looking forward to spending time in the country!
