"Farm living is the life for me...Fresh Air!"

La Gasnerie

Notre maisons pendant trois semaines (Our home for three weeks!!)

Notre arriere-cour (Our Backyard!)
Deux des nombreux chevaux que notre hote possede (two of the many horses our host owns!)
Vue de notre fenetre (view out of our window!)

Promenade autour de la maison (Walks around the house!)

We have had a wonderful time at our cottage in the country.  We have enjoyed the rest and relaxation and quiet here.  I wish we could have taken a picture of the beautiful sky at night to show you the glorious stars.  They are so numerous and bright here.
I put the headings in French here because finding English speakers is becoming more and more difficult to find.  However, unlike the many rumors we heard, everyone here is so gracious with our incompetence to speak the national language.  We have even encountered several who apologize to us for not being able to speak English.  I just cannot believe how lovely these people are.  I am so grateful for the time spent on learning the little bit of French I have and Google Translate.  Between these two, a lot of hand gestures and pointing, we have managed to communicate to whomever we have encountered.
Contilly (pronounced con-tee)
This is the village whose address our cottage belongs.

Normandie-Maine Parc
Turns out there is a beautiful wood within a mile from our cottage.  We have been so grateful not to miss the Fall colors while on our travels.  We have enjoyed our jaunts in the woods.  Our last jaunt we came across several on their horses preparing for a deer hunt.  Complete with dogs and horns.

 Mamers
This was a nearby village where we did most of our grocery shopping.

We had such a lovely time here and were so wonderfully received by our hostess.  We are a bit sad to leave this area and all the beauty, but we are really looking forward to playing with PUPPIES!!!
