"Go West, Young Man"

We returned from the Land on the other side of the Pond and set up residence once again in our temporary lodgings!

Truly enjoyed spending time with our daughter, catching up!  It was great to be with her.
Also got a surprise and got to spend some time with our son, Jeremy!  It was great seeing him again!

We really felt at home when we stepped into our church.  Family!

After a 10 day stent in Marietta, enjoying lunches and dinners with friends and family, and getting doctor visits in 😒😒😒, we went west.  We flew into Las Vegas in order to visit the Hoover Dam.  We got to enjoy the beauty of the west once again.

The Hoover Dam was called the Boulder Dam until it was changed to honor the President who got the wheels in motion to have it built.  Because of the dam, the floods are better controlled as well as the distribution of water, not to mention all the power which is created from the dam.

Lake Mead is the lake that has been created from the Hoover Dam.

We took the tour inside the dam.

This is the generator that provides power for the dam itself!

Model of the building of the dam!

What the inside of a generator looks like.

After completing the tour, we headed to Kingman, AZ.  Lots of great scenery on the way!

We visited the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. Beautiful!

Roger went on the skywalk.

While at the West Rim, we saw models of what some of the dwellings of the Native Americans.

More views of the canyon from what is called Eagle Point.

At the end of one of the ridges was this Guano Mine.

Now on to visit family!!!
