The Rain in Spain fall mainly on the ...Coast!

Galicia, Spain

This area, including the town where we are staying, Guarda, has been a popular vacation spot for many Europeans.  Guarda is where the River Mino and the Atlantic Ocean meet.  Guarda is also famous for its lobsters, though I have yet to see one on the menu. Must not be the time of year for them!
Guarda, being located on the border of Portugal, and on the coast has been conquered by Norman, Saracen, Portuguese and French pirates.

These pictures, in no way, do justice to the magnificence of the waves!

We have been so blessed with our health maintaining.  However, Roger had a brief setback with his hips.  Here he is using the rail for support.  Thankfully, he is walking upright again!

It touched me that Roger was concerned about keeping me back from enjoying our time here in Spain.  After how many years of being held back by me with my health issues, he could think this would be difficult for me.  What a wonderful man!  Not only that, he timed his issues while the weather was rainy!!

Which way to the beach!?!

These pictures in no way truly capture the incredible waves from the strong winds we experienced here.  At home, we would have been hearing tornado sirens, but here, ...nah!
