Our Twelve Days of Christmas!

1
On the first day of Christmas, our True Love, our blessed Lord,
gave to us, a Partridge in a Pear Tree!  Our Lord, Jesus Christ!

My crazy family with their picture traditions! A onesies picture and a headband picture!
We also decided to do as the Brits do and go crackers!  Funny hats are a must!

On the second day of Christmas, our True Love gave to us...Two Turtle Doves! The Old and New Testaments are represented by the Two Turtle Doves. I pray each one of you finds peace today as you experience your gift of the Turtle Doves!

I was supposed to go zip lining with my family, but it didn't turn out.  They had a spectacular time.  It was in a cave.  They were quite sore the next day from all the work they had to do. Sounded great!

On the third day of Christmas, our True Love gave to us.."three French hens." Three of the gifts of the Spirit that abide are faith, hope and love - (I Corinthians 13) I pray you experience these three today on this third day of Christmas! A continued Merry Christmas to all!

On this day we went back to Mwnt to show them what it looked like in the day!  We had a great time climbing the Mwnt.

Sarah beat us down to the beach!

Rob calls them the "Flat Hat Brigade!"

After Mwnt, we stopped in Gwrbert for lunch at the Cliff House.

... then toured St Dogmael's Abey.

This tree is over 500 years old!!

Abbey Church
Built in the shape of a cross, the church was the main focus of daily life in the abbey, where the monks attended prayer several times each day.  It was not originally one great open space, as it appears now, but was divided up by various screens and cross walls.

On the Fourth day of Christmas our True Love gave to us... Four Calling Birds! The four calling birds represent the four Gospels which sing the song of salvation through Jesus Christ. My hope for you today is that you hear a bird sing a song for you today, for this song is for everyone!

Sadly, our sweet Sophia and Rob had to go back to London before returning to Kuwait, but joyously, we had another day with Cathy, Shahid and Sarah!  We went to Haversfordwest, then on to Dina's Cross.  Truly beautiful country.

5
On the fifth day of Christmas, our True Love gave to us... Five Golden Rings! We have five books of the Law, or Books of Moses, as some refer to them. These give us a glimpse at the awesome character of our Lord.

We actually spent all day with the puppies.  We played in the field and rested!

6
On the sixth day of Christmas our True Love gave to us...six geese a-laying. These six geese who are creating new geese might represent the six days of creation. The Lord saw that what He created was good. My prayer for you today is that you remember that you are God's creation and He declared you as good.

7
On the Seventh Day of Christmas our True Love gave to us... "Seven Swans a Swimming." These represent the "seven gifts of the Holy Spirit". (I Corinthians 12:8-11; Romans 12, Ephesians 4; I Peter 4:10-11). What a perfect number, seven. I pray today that you have a perfect day, and that you bless everyone you meet with one also!

Another puppy day!!  We did not stay up to see the New Year in with Wales, but we did wake to see it in with Jennifer over video on States time!  Happy New Year!

8
On the Eighth Day of Christmas our True Love gave to us ..."eight maids a milking." There were the eight beatitudes. What a great gift for the New Year's Day!

Today we went to church and got to wish everyone a Happy New Year!  What a celebration. Our minister discussed being an Intentional Christian.  He talked about house God gave the Israelites manna every day in the wilderness, but the Israelites had to go out and get their days worth.  He likened that to us going out every day and getting our "daily bread" from His word.   This provoked several discussions between Roger and myself.

9

On the Ninth Day of Christmas our True Love gave to us..."nine ladies dancing" which represent the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit. (Galatians 5:22 & 23). I pray for each of you rise to the occasion when each occasion comes that your fruits of the Holy Spirit are needed. Because those days come. Reach for the Holy Spirit. He is there to not only pull us through but to succeed!

On this day we trekked towards St Davids.  On the way we stopped at Castell Henley, an Iron Age settlement.

We also stopped at Pentre Ifan

We finally got to St Davids.

This is the Bishop Palace

10

On the tenth day of Christmas, our True Love gave to us..."ten lords a-leaping." The Ten Commandments have been a gift down through the centuries that have shown us the character of our Lord. I pray today for all of you to truly experience our Lord!

We had every intention to go to the Devil's Bridge today, but weather was not accommodating.

11

On the Eleventh Day of Christmas, our True Love gave to us..."eleven pipers piping." These eleven faithful disciples disciples piped the most beautiful tune in all the world, He is Risen! I pray for you today that you sing a beautiful song to every one you meet!

12
On the Twelfth Day of Christmas our True Love gave to us...twelve drummers drumming! There are twelve points of the Apostles' Creed. These state what we believe. I pray that for all of you today have some affirmation of your belief! Blessings!

Weather is good, but too early of a morning, hopefully we will get to go to Devil's Bridge next week!

Epiphany
Today we celebrate the Epiphany of the Lord, namely, his manifestation to the Gentiles, represented by the Wise Men, mysterious people who came from the East, of which the Gospel according to Matthew speaks (Matthew 2:1-12). The Magi's worship of Jesus was recognized immediately as fulfillment of the prophetic Scriptures. \"And nations shall come to your light," we read in the Book of Isaiah, \"and kings to the brightness of your rising. … They shall bring gold and frankincense, and shall proclaim the praise of the Lord" (Isaiah 60:3,6). Pope Francis, 2005

Enjoying some past football games over the internet.  Have missed watching our Falcons play.  Great day to watch football inside.  It is wet, windy, and cold outside, but nice and toasty inside!

Hope your Christmas was joyful and filled with blessings!
